  9. Windows 3.1 or higher
  10. A 386- or 486- processor (486 recommended)
  11. 2.5MB of free hard disk space
  12. A Floppy Disk Drive
  13. A printer is recommended but not essential

  16. Installation Instructions
  17. =========================

  19. 1. Please ensure that your diskette(s) is/are "write-protected"
  20.    before you try to install this program.  This will help
  21.    prevent accidental deletion or damage to the program or
  22.    data files on the diskette(s).
  23.  
  24. 2. Please make a backup copy of your diskette(s) before you
  25.    try to install this program.  Installing from a backup
  26.    copy helps minimise the possibility of loss or damage.
  27.  
  28. 3. Insert the backup copy into drive a: or drive b:
  29.  
  30. 4. Start Windows, if not already running.
  31.  
  32. 5. Select the "RUN" from the Program Manager File Menu.
  33.  
  34. 6. Type a:\setup or b:\setup depending on the drive you
  35.    are using.
  36.  
  37. 7. Follow the installation instructions.

  39. 8. The following files are copied to your hard disk drive

  83.    procedure.

  85.    Following installation a Windows Philatelist Program
  86.    Manager Group is set-up containing program items for the
  87.    application, text and help files.

  89. How to Order/Register Windows Philatelist
  90. =========================================

  92. The registered version is supplied with two catalogue files
  93. ( gbcomp.cat and gbcomd.cat ), these contain a complete list
  94. of all Great Britain pre-decimal and decimal commemorative
  95. issues, allowing you to record your collection against the
  96. database. In addition to the catalogue files, registered users
  97. are also supplied with an user manual, limited support and
  98. future catalogues/upgrades at low rates.

  101. the author at the following address. Method of payment can be
  102. either Cheque, Money Order or Cash.

  134. Once you have installed the registered version using the
  135. instructions contained in this file, the registration
  136. process must be completed by entering the unique Registration
  137. Key ( you will find this on the covering letter ). To enter
  138. the Key select the Register Windows Philatelist option on the
  139. Help Menu. The Registration Name is the name that will appear
  140. in the About Windows Philatelist dialog box.
